Ventura

It was a grey day for the first of four visits of the Ventura to St Peter Port this month. This was her last port of call on a cruise to Spain and Portugal. Her last port of call was Porto and tomorrow morning she will be in Southampton. Tenders were running guests ashore during the first part of her full day visit, but were later curtailed.

If the guests made it to the south coast between Icart and Petit Bot, they would have seen the cliffs ablaze with the yellow of gorse with the wild spring flowers lining the paths.

With all the tenders heading back to the liner the St Peter Port pilot boarded ready to take the Ventura  south to the Lower Heads Buoy before setting course for a slow overnight cruise to Southampton. Guests will enjoy their last night aboard, before the Bank Holiday weekend in England. Not too many on deck to watch the departure.

  1. this was not the fact 'Tenders were running during her full day visit but not too many guests wanted to brave the cold winds today.' we were not allowed off the ship, because of the over cautious captain!! very disappointing. We have been on rougher sea days with Tender than this, but the captain wouldnt let us off and gvae no one the opportunity.
