Serenissima and Europa 2

The Serenissima was back at St Peter Port today alongside No 1 berth having left Portsmouth last night. With St Peter Port as the backdrop she made an unusual sight, it is rare to see such a large traditional ship leaving harbour.

Serenissima did not have a long journey to her next destination as she headed for the Island of Herm. There are not many destinations on a cruise where you can see your next before you leave your last!!

Also on the anchorage today for a short half day visit was the Europa 2. Early afternoon she took a Pilot on board to head east a little further than the Serenissima to the Island of Sark, one of the bigger liners to visit the island.  She is on a "Rediscover Europe" cruise leaving Lisbon last Thursday, stopping at ports on the west coast of France before heading for St Malo later today. Next Saturday she will finish her cruise in Hamburg. The Europa 2 is voted as the top small ship liner  by the Berlitz Cruising Guide.
